7:23p Info on the pro Goral. Marcin "Goral" Horecki from Warsaw, who is a former member of the national alpine skiing team. After retiriing due to injury, he got a bachelor and masters degree in finance. His hobby of Magic: The Gathering, led him to playing poker.

 

His first live tourney hit come in the final table of the 1,000 euro NL event at the Barcelona open. He then went on to hit in the EPT season 3 Copenhagen event, finishing 30th for 9,580. He has also won an Austrian Masters tourney, netting over $28,000.

 

His breakthru event payout was finishing in third place in the EPT London Season 5 event. That finish netted him $532,111, and taking Horecki to 2nd on the all-time Polish money list.

A: That would be a WSOP seat win at then Americas' CardRoom (ACR), they were unable to actually go ahead and pay the seat afterwords, but I still count it as a $10k seat win. The Invitational seat could be cause I'm actually going.

A: I got second place in Bodog's $100,000 tournament. I won $15,000 in that event. The next time I played I got 4th for $7,000, just can't seem to win that event!

 

Q: What has been your most important game you ever played, and why?

A: It's a tossup between three or four really, as I took 13th in PokerStars $250,000 guarantee that same day I took the 2nd in the Bodog event. That was pretty big cause I have a relatively small bankroll. That was a big one for me, oddly enough. The next would be one of the FTOPS events on FTP. I played with Huck Seed most of the game and ended up taking him out. I was even more stoked as that was the same year he won the Heads up Championships of NBC.

Q: Why does it seem everyone keeps drawing out and catching cards on me?

A: I see these questions (and their decendants) over and over, and while yes, you remember the suckouts that you have had suffered, but remember two things. You never remember the ones you catch, as well as you are seeing way way more hands online than you ever do live. The odds do balance out, as long as your playing better than your opponents, things will come out in your favor in the long run.
